Rocky Road

I had my ultrasound on Monday morning and the results were inconclusive. The radiologists were unable to tell for certain that the lump I was feeling was not a cancer tumor. From the research I have done, some scar tissue and cancer cells look similar. I was scheduled for a biopsy, which I had this morning. I have been a bit of a wreck these last two weeks. This is a rocky road, finding a new, potential concern this early (or ever) after treatment ends has been challenging for me. But, with the fabulous support of family and friends, it is getting easier.

I am in a bit of pain from the biopsy but not like the first time. I will have more news for you on Monday or Tuesday, as the results will come in. The radiologist mentioned to me today that it is likely scar tissue since it is so close to my original tumor site, etc. I am hopeful that this is scar tissue and nothing else.

I am off traveling for the weekend. I have only been home for 15 days out of the last month. Been doing lots of traveling, which has been a good change of pace.

P.S. I did my first faux-hawk yesterday. Rocking it again today! Super fun....so edgy.

Xoxo -K
